The Riverview Community Centre was looking for a new design to print on sweatshirts as a fundraiser for the outdoor hockey rink. The only requirement was that the rink be featured in the artwork, along with the phrase “Save the Rink”.

Seeing volunteers replace boards in the fall, and noticing holes in the existing rink’s chain link inspired an illustration of a puck escaping through a hole in the chain link mesh.

Sweatshirts and hoodies were sold online and at the community centre, with all profits going to the building of a new outdoor rink
